Diamond Sawn Sandstone Logs

Diamond Sawn Sandstone Logs

Diamond Sawn Sandstone Logs are an alternative to the rough-cut sandstone logs usually found around Sydney. Regular sandstone logs are cut in the ground in large rows and then split from the bedrock into rough dimensions. Diamond Sawn Sandstone Logs are cut from much larger blocks of sandstone enabling more precise cuts. The logs are available in four different colours. Dixon’s Banded Sandstone is shown in these images.

Diamond Sawn Sandstone Logs are sawn on the top bottom and sides giving them a much more precise tolerance than regular Sydney sandstone logs. The face side is hydrasplit, however, sawn or rockface surfaces are also available  These blocks are typically used for sandstone log retaining walls and many other landscaping features.

The sandstone colour shown is Dixon's Banded, but they are also available in Canoelands White, Canoelands Buff or Oxidising sandstone. Oxidising sandstone is used in marine areas because they have a higher tolerance to salt attack. Matching paving, capping, cladding and blocks are available in all colours.

If you want your next sandstone log retaining wall to be a little more refined, then these Diamond Sawn Logs are the perfect block for you.
